    My Rangie

After considering several options to replace my Disco Tdi300 1998 I finally bite the bullet and brought a Range Rover 1988 Hiline manual V8FI in Melbourne after selling my Disco in Hobart.
I am very impressed with the new vehicle.Justin Cooper fitted the Truetrac at the back diff together with the Rovertracks axles from Keith. He also done some repairs and preventative maintenance which made the Rangie a pleasure to drive.
New 235-85-16 Maxxis tyres are on order for this week and on the 28 we will crossing the pond to the big island again going home.

Good to see you're happy with it. The Rangies are just sooooo much better than a Disco. Discos are great vehicle in there own right, just that you just can't beat the original (plus I HATE THE ROOF, always have and will).

    Arthur,
It's been a pleasure working on the Rangie, for once an older one in good nick and not thrashed and trashed underneath!(CDL was even sticky!!)
It has also been a pleasure meeting you and the better half, hope to visit you up north soon!!

(Meanwhile, I'll try and make sure Carlos dosen't wreck HIS RR too much...)

...Don't forget to drop by this week before you go!

    Regards,
    Justin, Juliet, Rosie and Bethany.

Thanks Justin, i have to thank all of you for making my explorations in tassie so enjoyable.
one day this weekend we will go to a spot in the east coast for few lamb chops and photography.
I will se you this week. The bugger speedo does not work and a friendly cop stop me for doing 7 km over the limit. no fine this time.
If i cannot get a speedo before my return to Moore Park beach a basic GPS is on the shopping list as an alternative to the speedo.
Victoria and NSW are very bad for speed fines

    Cheers

    Speedos

I think a GPS will be a good solution too, as when you fit the 235's the speedo will be out anyway..A truspeed correction unit is reasonably expensive, and won't work with a dodgy speedo head unit anyway

The speedo I have has about 300k on the odo anyway. You are welcome to try it if you like...

See you soon, and enjoy the Tassie lamb you two

You mean like something out of the Simpsons -

    The Rangie have more MODS

The Rangie have a better tyres now, Maxxis Buckshot 235x85x16 and also I fitted a set of rock sliders which we make with Stooge for both Rangies.
I added a Logic Gear GPS/reverse camera XL488 and I am very impressed with the unit. Excellent value.
Next on the list is the rear wheel carrier, rollbar/cargo barrier and cargo rack system.
