    Another rusty 2A bulkhead

See attached photo. (Nov 69 LWB hardtop)

The bulkhead and the door pillars (?) on both sides are substantially rusted.
The doors both still swing, but the rust is extensive.

Can someone describe to a newbie what the likely restoration process would be?

Can new panels or members be obtained? Where? (Near to Brisbane)
Or must I search for an organ donor?
Is it a matter of bolting together, or will welding be necessary?

    Thanks

    Doug

If you passed High school metalwork then it is not a big deal to make the repair panels yourself. You will need access to a good bender and shears and a welder to put the parts on.

If you don't have the tools, any engineering shop can bend and cut them for you and possibly weld, but they will want it explained to them pretty clearly what needs doing.

Alternatively; contact car clubs until you find someone near you who is good at panelwork and who likes doing jobs for cash,

    Cheers Charlie
