When I was in Derby last year, I tried to find a LR friendly person for my daughter's Disco. Not found.
PM Bradtot and ask him to ask his B-I-L in Derby.

Hi all,
Have had a great rip so far.mildura up the middle to Alice ,Tanami road??? and then up to Wyndham etcCurrently in Derby.Would like an oil change and general check over after the corrugations.Towing my 11ft 80,s van which held together really well .Also does anyone know the state of the road from marble bar to Newman.Dirt doesn't worry me but a bit sick of hundreds of k's of corrugations since theTanami.
Where should one try for a landy friendly service?
Thanks,
Mary

You might not have any luck getting it serviced above the 26", but if you make as far south as Geraldton book it in at Whyats for that loving touch.

When I'm here I want to be out there.
There used to be a Land Rover dealer in Broome near the airport. I am not sure if they are still a LR dealer but I believe that they still service LR vehicles. Can not remember the name but I think they are amulti franchise car yard and also sell Fords. Worth a look. May possibly have been Shinju Motors, Guy St also Nissan dealer I think.

When I was there last year there was an LR dealer in Broome. They should be alble to manage an oil change without cocking it up....

There is a Land Rover dealer in Broome and it is Shinzu Nissan.
They are ok, your other option is BP Central. They are in my opinion the pick of the mechanics in Broome. Shinzu is ok though. I would not describe either of them as Land Rover specialists. The other thing to remember, as you've probably found out if you've been here a little while is they charge Broome prices!
Good luck!

Don't know who it is in Broome, but apparently someone up there has attended the LR training courses on the new Defender. So they may not be a dealer, but whoever they are they have done the training.

						Hi Mary.
You asked about the road from Marble Bar to Newman. I did most of it from the Newman end a few weeks ago but turned off up the Skull Springs Road at Nullangine but can say it was in good condition then.
Instead of going straight to Newman why not go down the Ripon Hills Road from Marble Bar to Woodie Woodie and turn right onto Skulls Springs to Nulangine and then Newman from there? You could stop by the Oakover for a good peaceful overnight stop.
Might make for a more interesting drive for you but quite a few more kays though.
There's some quite sharp bends on the Skull Springs Rd so keep the speed down on them.
Have a good trip.
Alan.
