    Blackhawk

Went for a bit of a fly today with 171 squadron in a Blackhawk, what was to be a quick inspection of the Holsworthy Training Area in relation to bushfire risk turned into a trip to remember.

After the customary briefing we were off around the range, down the western side back up through the middle, down the eastern side, turn around and back.

On the way back the loadmaster asked if we were short on time ? With no being the answer he wrote CBD on his load sheet and we were off.

Heading off from Holsworthy across to Parramatta and then down the harbour

Theres the odd nice house around Hunters Hill

A perfect day to fly around what has to be the best harbour in the world

Back up the river again towards Parra

And safe back on the ground again.

The trip was done with doors off and at about 200 ft.

A lot of people have tod me - if you're going to crash in a helicopter then a Blackhawk is the one to be in.

I don't think I want to put it to the test.
