    D3 Tyre wear

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows how to stop the right front tyre from wearing on the inside.

We drive mainly in the country on local (both black stuff and gravel) and highways, Tyre pressure is kept below 34lbs, wheels are balanced every service.

On our third set of tyres, Goodyear originals lasted 24,000, Cooper HT plus 30,000, General grabbers 32,000 still going however now showing signs of wear.

    Thanks.

My Dad's D3 had bad wear of the left rear wheel. The car was taken back to the dealer and they re-aligned the rear wheels and replaced the tyre under warranty.

Have you taken it to a dealer?

Rotate them every 10,000km. I've got 43,000km out of my Wranglers (well, the two orginal one's I haven't broken yet) and have another 5,000 or so to go I think.

Don't the wheels on a D3 rotate when you drive it?

Make sure that you take it to a place capable of 4-wheel alignment.

If it is an air suspension one make sure the suspension is in the correct mode for wheel alignments.

    thanks,

    thanks,

every service has been at a dealer where the balances and alignments are meant to be done, however seeing as they have lost the dealership (or sold it) in Canberra who knows..
