Does anyone know in which position the following four wires connnect to the ignition switch. The switch has 5 terminals of which 4 have been previously used and the following 4 wires are nearby after replacing the firewall.
    1. White wire with white plug.
2.Brown wire/white tracer with black plug.
3.White wire/red tracer with red plug.
4.White wire/oranger tracer with green plug.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks Ben

Hi, I have checked on my 99 TD5 wiring diagram here is what I came up with.

    1. White wire with white plug. runs to your ignition eg. , ECU,
2.Brown wire/white tracer with black plug... positive from your batterie
3.White wire/red tracer with red plug. Runs to start relay (R102)
4.White wire/oranger tracer with green plug. cannot find that wire on my schematic, but is must be for
your acceseries , radio cigar lighter etc

    hope this helps

    Thanks Matt,
Would you happen to know which wires go where onto the ignition switch as I have no record of how they were connected. Also do you know where I can obtain a wiring diagram as Daveshop doesn't carry any for that model.

    Thanks Ben.

Is there any significant difference in the wiring diagrams?

I could have sworn I'd given Dave (Incisor) a copy of the later RAVE with the Defender 1999/2002 supplement.

    Dave, have you got:

    RAVE: ..................................... V013
    Disc Part Number: .................. VDW103610(2)

Ben, how many times have you asked this question in different sections? It has been answered already. Go back and read them.

    I'm merging all these threads.
