Mrs Zulu Delta and I both enjoyed the camaraderie and friendly atmosphere of the whole weekend, as well as the fine cuisine supplied each night by various 'guest supper chefs'. Menus consisted of Syrup dumplings one night, A "bit of everything" cake and some scones, jam and whipped cream the second night, and 'Twisties and Maple Syrup the third night.
Did a short locality exploratory excursion to Mt Walli area and then along the Eastern Mary road on the Saturday plus a visit to the local cheese factory and op shops, and the Sunday was filled with a scenic circuitous trip via Charlie Moreland Park, Sunday Creek Rd to Jimna, a visit to the local markets there for lunch and home via Yabba and the Bella Creek road to Imbil and back to Kennilworth. A scenic and easy, although a bit dusty at times, route that covered a variety of topography as well as an assortment of other interesting engineering and historic sites that I had luckily spent some time exploring on previous forays into this area whilst being engaged in the tourist industry.
Being rather sedate 'Oldies' this type of itinerary suited us admirably, whereas some of the more adventurous members of various clubs engaged in some hard core attacks on various forestry trails in the vicinity.
I was interested to note that Leon's catch cry of "I'm bored" seemed to become less frequent as time marched on, in fact the youngster is to be commended on the way he mixed in with a group that was way out of his normal age group. Good on you Leon, I hope Mum was impressed with the three stones and three sticks.
Another thing that became obvious over the weekend was the apparent 'in built' cult feeling within the 'Inner circle' of Landy owners that a man is judged by his appendages and with this in mind, TimJ obviously takes the cake!

Once Tim J went home early, smug that he had topped all the other males present (actually left Sunday so his wife could play softball on Monday) our canine mascot became "Brutus", a spritely and slightly senior dog who suffered the ignominy of being dressed in a dinner jacket without a tie, and I might add a dinner jacket that tended to change the commanding stature of 'Brutus the tough' into what some may describe as an "Armadillo".
Enough of the trivialities, perhaps I should say, simply thank you to the organisers of the weekend, it was in our eyes a howling success, marred for some only slightly by the lack of adequate facilities supplied by the property owners, but nevertheless a weekend that my wife and I both enjoyed immensely.
    Regards
    Glen

Well I have heard a rumour that it's not just the size that matters but how you use it so here is a photo of what you can do with an appendage like that - send him in to check the depth when the water is too bloody cold.

And you have to understand that is 40+ kilos of 13 month old puppy (boxer crossed with ridgeback we think) that suddenly decided that he was a lap dog. He was actually fast asleep and snoring when Glen took that photo.

We didn't take many photos at all and it was a pity we had to leave early as most trips seemed to happen on the Sunday after we left. We still had a good time though and it was good to see the turnout from all the clubs.
