Lonely Landy's of Lockhart - A tribute film

    Hey everyone

I've just finished a small 7 part Youtube tribute film titled 'Lonely Landy's of Lockhart'.

"Lonely Landy's of Lockhart, a tribute to the Land Rovers' whose time for adventure and discovery of what lies beyond has ended, and who now rest peacefully in the environs of the Lockhart River region, Cape York Australia. One can only imagine the stories these vehicles could tell and the sights they've seen during their lives. Now retired, they await the decades ahead, gradually returning to the earth on which they once roamed."

    Enjoy..

Very tastefully done. I like the light and composition of some of the images, but all in all a great job.
Thank you for sharing it with us.
    Cheers

If you are wondering how there came to be so many landies there. A scottsman used to live up there in there edge of the Iron range national park and buy and rebuild the landrovers from the community as they broke down and sell them again. If you see a little green house (the green hoose) thats where he used to live.

    And nicely done.

    Hey Dan
Indeed I do know about the Scottsman. The vehicle in part 2 was from his old shed. The new owners were doing a clean up so dumped it. But that does help explain it more. I thought they may have belonged to the hippies that lived around there in the 80's-90's. I think in total I counted at least 11 vehicles.. some barely recognisable. The green hoose is still standing if you havne't been up that way for a while. But I'd reckon the next big cyclone to hit Lockhart will demolish the last of it.

And thanks everyone for your great comments

    Brett
