do a search on the 3 amigos.

most common causes I see for it are

    1. dirty plug connections and stressed looms
    2. contamination on the tone rings or wheel sensors.

    other causes are

electrical fault, abs module fault, pump block fault, pad squeal, RF interferance

the easiest way to find it is to get it interrogated while the lights on

If you have an early manual Freelander, the wires are prone to breaking at the HDC switch on the gear lever. This might be the cause of yours as it's quite common.

Hey guys. This is so freaky, this happened to me today and i was about to start a thread on it.

My amber warning light just came on for no reason today. I went 4x4ing today but i didn't use the HDC at all. The light turned on as i was driving home.

Where abouts are the connections for the HDC so i can see if they are dirty etc..

Blknight.aus, when you say get it interrogated do you mean by the dealer?

Scouse, I saw in my service history receipts that this has been repaired before on my freelander. It states that HDC switch re-attached or something like that. Can i do it myself or do i need to take it to a dealer?

    Thanks in advance.
