Michelin 255/60 R 18 112V XL
The Wranglers are about due to be replaced at the 60 thou service and weighing up what tyes to fit as I do not want those horrible Wranglers again.
any thoughts?
We do bugger all offroad and when we do it is a bit of beach work.
What about the Michelin Latitude Sport 255/60 R 18 112V XL ??

My Scorpian ATR's are as quiet as the Wranglers with a lot more grip off and on road. Best of both worlds...

just spoke with one tyre dealer, he was pushing the Perreli Scorpion Zero @ $450 ea
Some of the online reviews bag them . . .

gesus, working out best tyre is a nightmare.
Only certainity is that I do not want Wranglers again.
Tyre needs to be mainly aimed at on road performance, expecially in the wet as QLD downpours can be treacherous.
ok so far I have in no order of preference:
255/60R18 112V
Pirelli Scorpion Zero - $485
Continenlal CrossContact UHP $450 - dealer said this was the best handling, even better then the Pirelli Scorpion Zero
Yokohama Geo51 $395 - no idea about this but a tyre dealer pushed them hard
As to which is best I have no idea, leaning towards the Conti CrossContact UHP though at this stage.
Dealers don't think the Michelin is available but it is listed on their website. More ringing about I guess.

Cooper HT+. I was happy with them. Just went to GG ATs as I need more grip in the mud.

ok Im not interested in the off road side as we only do a tiny bit of beach work maybe once a year.
We need an exceptional on road tyre.
Main criteria is:
- cornering
- wet weather perfomance, especially aquaplaning
- overal drivability
Looks like the Conti CC UHP fits that list.
Just got to do the ring around now for best price. Not sure if LR dealer or tyre place do the 4 wheel alingnments? Is that best done before or after the tyres go on?

Well decision made for bettter or worse!

got a price today on the Conti CC UHP 255/60R18 112V
Stsrted at $425 ea, down to $398 each fitted and dynamically balanced. Also need to get the 4 wheel alignment done too.
Just waiting to hear back as to when the tyres will be in so I can book in a day and co-orinate with LR for the 60thou service and to set it into wheel align mode before it goes to the tyre place.
hoping these tyres will be much better then the wrangelrs
by the way the front tyres arent bad. >95% (was the new spare) on one, >75% on the other if anyone wants a couple of Wranglers let me know.
rears are only good for turning into pot plant holders.
sorry no steak knives!

got the new Contis fitted yesterday, have done about 200km on them so far.
Impressions
VERY quiet
VERY smooth, feels so much nicer to drive
tooo easy to get to 120kmh
I need to get used to them because I am going into corners a bit quick due to the smoothness of them.
Overall they seem good, much better then the wranglers
By the way have 3 of those to get rid of if anyone interested. 95%, 85%, 70%
