Need TD5 specialist in Gold Coast or Brisbane area

Howdy folks,

One of my friends from Melbourne is enroute to Brisbane tonight and has been getting woeful fuel consumption, driving his 2003 (facelift model) Discovery Series II TD5 auto.

With the stock sized factory Michelin XPC tyres (29") he is getting 12 litres per 100 kms on the Newell Highway, and he is not a leadfoot.

So something is amiss with his motor, and he would like to know if there is any Land Rover specialist in the Gold Coast or Brisbane area who may be able to diagnose his engine issue.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! He doesn't mind if it's an independent LR specialist - as we all know, sometimes the independent guy can be pretty cluey, not just the dealerships.

I am based in ormeau about 45k south of BNE and could have a look if need be. Have a Nanocom (diagnostics) and a bit of knowldege on TD5's

12l/100 isnt that bad by the way!
