Nice! I like that truck - the LWB ute? I also just bought a Series 1 - and I'm just east of "The wood" in Ippy! Hope to see you out and about.
Hi guys,
Picked up my next project (after I finish the Rangie and a few farm related things) on the weekend from someone who ended up being Lost Landy. Thanks for your help loading it up Brendon
In pretty good nick. Not obvious signs of rot, just some surface rust here and there. Looks as though a previous owner started a reno on the chassis, axles, etc - all painted up.
Body and tub fairly straight. Just need to work on the brakes (don't work at all!) and electricals to get it happening a bit more.
Has a 6cyl Holden engine which seems to run well. Will keep it for the time being but may go to a 2ltr down the track.
Will post up pics soon.
Cheers

That's the one. I need to pull my finger out and finish off the other things so I can get stuck into it.

Hey Scallops, won't be rego'd at this stage but down the track perhaps. I'd like to get it to a roadworthy state though.
Here's some pics.....

WOW stu what a lovely vehicle. Body panels are in really good condition and those little dingles in the front RH wing should come out nicely with some very careful panel beating. The front bumper needs a bit more work though.
Look forward to getting together one day with you and Dan. Paul
She is just beautiful! Well done, that is a fine vehicle. And I too am looking forward to a get together with you both.
BTW - we also share an interest in Poultry, I see.

Very nice, great find!
The big question though, why is it being towed by a Jeep instead of the Range Rover?
'51 Series 1 80"
'12 Defender 90
Ah! That would be because I'm a slack b*gger and haven't had enough time to do a few things to it to get it back on the road.Actually, to be honest, the Jeep struggled a bit on the hills around here, so I'm not sure the 3.5 would be a star..
Rangie on the road, a few things around the farm, then I'll get onto 'Bob' (just decided that's it's name - no reason!). Although it has taken me many, many months to sort out some leaks in 'Ify' (Rangie), so I'm not sure how long it will take to get onto 'Bob'.....My wife let him skip the queue either...
