    Defender advice

    Hi all,
I have a 95 p38 and spend most of my aulro times finding solutions to problems there.

I am very tempted to dispense with all the joys of owning a p38 and look into a defender, The discos seem to be ubiquitous and I like the old school style of the defenders, but I don't really know what I should look out for if I was to make the change over.

I will continue to read your posts, though any advice on year and model number and how many km's etc would be appreciated.

Is there a site like rangerovers.net dedicated to defenders?

    Thanks in advance,...

Please don't tell anyone in the p38 thread that I have posted this... Ha ha.

I guess I would be looking at between 12-20 thousand? I wouldn't be looking at the really new ones.

I might be a little bit biased, but here's as good as any when it comes to Defenders, and better than most.

    I'll second that

Grab a slab of stubbies or a damned large pot of tea if that is your go and start with the search option - and that takes care of the next week or two.

Not a chance in hell, I may be going back to an older non electronic v8. (or if someones got a LWB SII/a that predates 67 im interested)

as per the photobucket wiz thread of mine

my personal situation may be on the brink of changing and to hit all the objectives big red needs modding to make it more suitable for the specific task at hand. hence I started the photoshop wiz thread from some quick talking to places in the know the required changes will cost about the same as the vehicle Im now looking at purchasing.

drop it on gas as a quick fix for the running cost and if swmbo is happy to drive it like that big red can go to finance the remanufacture of fozzy. or fozzys going to cop the axe and SWMBO will get something more to her taste.

but to the point.... if the change comes I want to be prepositioned to swipe it and give murphy the finger.

    Back on topic.......

Kalincho IF you happen to find one in the brissy area Im happy to throw eyeballs on any vehicle that I can get to or that you can get to me.
