    300tdi vacuum pump

What would be a good price for a vacuum pump, and how difficult are they to change? Jim

    Talking Vacuum Pump.

Seen them around for about $350. If its leaking oil plenty there are plenty of posts on how to repair them. Did it myself last week on my disco 300 tdi, nothing to technical and took about 1 1/2hrs all up. That includes making new gaskets. Parts about $10.00. Technical (No) 6 bolts and a couple of hose clamps. The hardest part is re fitting if the cam lobe is up high. Saying that i started the bolts and worked around and it pulled down no problems . Just go slow and steady. You can also rotated the engine just remove the fuel cut off to stop it starting and use the ingnition or spin it by the crank bolt with the ignition off.
