OK Flexcie, this is where we are at.

We are unable at this time to be offer you something under the SLOw banner. SLOw would need at least 5 residents in NSW wishing to be members and take on historic rego for us to register with the RTA and provide trips for you. While this is in the scope of future endeavors, it will not suit your current time frame.

We could do a run and invite your current club, but I fear from your initial post, this may take some time to happen, and again fall outside your timeframe.

I will PM you a contact to a new NSW group who may be able to help you.

 Cheers

 CC

As far as I understand it, outside the ACT/NSW, there are no cross border arrangements for Historic Conditional Registration (HCRS) in NSW. The club needs to be a NSW registered club.

Only a car club that is recognised by the RTA for HCRS can invite and host members from another HCRS recognised club to allow them to use their HCR vehicle.

Outside that, a member's Club can make an event held by another organisation a Club Event and there allow the member to use the HCRS vehicle.

A NSW registered HCRS vehicle can operate outside NSW (except WA) for up to 3 months, provided that the usage is a Club event of the primary or secondary club.

The responsibility to make some trip flecxie wants to attend a "Club event" rests with his own club/s (Primary or documented secondary). Some Clubs are willing to have broad understanding of what constitutes a Club event, others have a very narrow understanding. Roads & Maritime Services NSW (former RTA) leave those decisions in the hands of the individual clubs. The document listed above is only a sample of a constitution that could be adopted.

In relation to CCs comment, the group I believe is being referred to is not currently recognised by the RMS for HCRS, but once it is I am sure that it will operate on a philosophy of responding in a very timely manner to member's requests and invitations to attend events. The HCRS application is currently before NSW RMS.
