    SLOw Forum Access

I appeciate the Slow Area is a specialist area for the use of Slow members and that is OK - I can read the very informative posts and post up myself and that is great - but why am I no allowed to look at the pics - when I click on the above thumbnails I get a message saying I do not have privileges to look at them. I do not see the point.

So please, either restrict the section to Slow members or preferably open it completely to the rest of us.

    Cheers

    Garry,

I can assure you, this is not by design. When seting up a new section, there are a million different permission levels to set in the background for poor old Incisor to twiddel with. We can only rectify something once we become aware of it, which we now can. I believe your problem will be with uploaded pictures, rather than the linked in type?

    We will fix it.

There are SLOw Club member sections, but the General Chat, Workshop and Trip Reports sections should be open for all and sundry to see. We appreciate those who may not neccesarily be a member, but have a keen interest in Series Vehicles, and anything they may have to contribute.

Feel free at any time Garry.

Thanks - I agree have a restricted section for you own chat but it is good to have most other areas open so all can contribute.

    Cheers

I have moved this to it's own thread so as to not hi-jack Alex's rebuild thread. I know you will all understand.

attachments will never be public it is too big a security risk
the settings are set so logged in users should be able to see them if they are attachments, different story if they are in a private gallery, i cant override that. 3rd party sites have their own settings as well.

what area was this post originally in?

It was originally in the SLOw Workshop section. I believe Gary can't see LRO53's uploaded pics.

Mrs Ho Har has an inability to edit her posts in the first 24 hours as per the rest of the forum.

Will provide link once The General vacates the home computer.
