One of the 80% still on the road...............

Hello - a few snaps from the hills around Chimoio in Mozambique. Unfortunately, taken in a hurry with a mobile phone on a rainy day.............

But it goes to show that the oldies can still be goodies.

Nothing much to look at, it belongs to the father of one of the trackers at a safari camp I occasionally frequent, and at first blush not beyond becoming roadworthy again (this is a relative concept in Africa). He bought it ages ago thinking to start a guiding operation of his own with it. However, here is the classic African dilemma - unlike Mgabe, Zuma and the rest, the guy simply has no money and is unlikely to find any at anytime too soon.
So, what happens next?
It owes him money, so likely as not it will get cut up to make a 'scotch cart' which is the back half pulled by 4 or so donkeys. And there goes another little piece of Land Rover history.........
This is an extreme case:

But they have great mailboxes.....
