Thread: Samford Show Classic Car Display

Well what a great weekend. On behalf of the SLOW Inc. committee, I'd like to thank again both 1950landy and Trevor Taylor for having us along to the Samford Show Classic Car Display. Apart from having a great weekend, it's great to have another event that I'm sure will find it's way on to our annual trip calendar.

And along with enjoying good company and exotic booze, one particular highlight for me was the opportunity to drive a 1950 MG TD in the Grand Parade. The only problem is that now I want one too!

We almost bought this 1966 Jag 3.8S...if only the driving position weren't so unusual...



The pedals are way off to the RHS and the huge steering wheel has no clearance and is not adjustable - You can see Kat here in the driver's seat, trying to get comfortable....enough to be able to own it...
moments later she decided it wasn't right for her....buggar....still, it's very beautiful....



Another nice MG - a 1960 MGA Mark 1.....





Nice Vauxhall....



And a lovely Wolsley...



But this was another great SLOW Inc. trip, so we set up headquarters.....





So of course, there were also our member's special vehicles.....

1950landy had a great display, his PTO pumping Kool Aid cordial 24/7....



What a great 80 inch!



Everything about this Landy is spot on....





And 123rover50 had his glorious Tickford at the show too....





And the 101 was there too (Owls on board)...



The HoHars were there in typical force....



Lady Zara of the house of Har....



And Pop brought "The Black One"....





Yes, it was just another terrific weekend out with Australia's only Series Landy Club - make sure you get to this one next year - it's a top weekend....

Thanks Dan for the photo's & thanks to those that attended . Trevor was most greatful that we helped to swell the number of vehicles on display. this was there best year yet with over 60 cars & bikes. Those that came will receive a invitation in the mail from Trevor next year & he will need to find some more room next year.
