Picked up the parts today . & called into John Bradshaw . He will tell you about all the parts when he sees you. I have to go back up as there was twice as many parts as he origionly showed me so a ute & box trailer wasn't enough room , at least a nother ute load to pick up :D
Took your advice & painted frame black enamel , just have to paint the Singer sign & badges on the ends gold & work out how the tentioner goese together , it was pulled apart when i bought the sewing machine:mad: Meryll now wants the 1904 singer S/M done up , i will have to replace all the veneer on it & find some draws:cool:
Have a very similar singer here to the one photographed, the Minister for War and Finance tuned it up too (timing was way out at first) .
Can I send you photos of anything at all to show you how its set up?
On the Royal, this is one of the best resto threads Ive seen for ages, well done and great work.. as said it would be magnificent to see it in MELROSE.. or in fact anywhere!
Photos of the tour show Police drivers except for Queensland which shows Army.
Can anyone identify the uniform, colour of the beret, regiment etc from this photo?
Keith
Hi Keith
Cannot help with that,
Looks like the one that Paul Freestone bought and removed the glass back from claret red was the colour.
Steve
Keith, if you read the caption on the photo, it says it was an ex serviceman display, so that may explain why someone in the forces was given the honour of driving HRH.
Cheers, Mick.
Hi Keith
Paul Freestone owns Freestone Transport in Melbourne
He bought the car at Government Auction about 7 years ago for about $ 25,000
When he bought it he cut the back off and put a hoop set and canvas from standard series 1 on it so he could drive it at the beach house.
That's as much as I can tell you because I no longer work for him.
He did show me some photo's of it.
