220k Service - what to expect & Centre diff?
Hi All, My Disco TD5 2000 model is coming up for its 220k service. Any ideas on what I can expect? Also think the brakes are up for some work. $$
It also happens to be the model without the centre diff - any tips on the best/ cheapest way to get one fitted. I know there are a couple of types too from an external device to something inside the car. Is it worth getting fitted for general and beach 4WDriving - nothing too full on, mainly beach driving..
How long can a TD5 go for - what sort of kms are considered to be high on them?
Thanks in advance!

Your D2 does have a centre diff, it may well not have a centre diff lock...
There are various options to rectify the omission depending on what parts are fitted. A search will reveal many answers.
The TD5 engine could well do 500 000 km before needing rebuilding, once again a search will reveal plenty of information.

Yes quite right it is the centre diff lock, thanks, I'll look it up. Good news about the kms as I bought my disco at about 180 and have already had to spend heaps on it as the prev owner obviously didn't look after it. At over 8 grand on fixes later I was hoping to keep hold of it for a long time to come. I love it and its one of the only 4WDrives that keeps my huge Irish Wolfhound in the back easily!!
Any thoughts on the 220k service?
Thanks
