Chuck in the new one, the old one can be carried as a spare. Find a thread on rebuilding the vac advance.

Mate you can get recoed ones with better diaphram rubber from Performance ignitions in Nunawading in Vic. They do mail order if interstate. About $60.
I'll last longer than the genuine ones as it's not effected by heat like the Gen ones.
