Might be worth someone contacting them and seeing what all their LR options are, with some examples, and letting them know it will get posted on here.

At the time I contacted them they advised to go to Marks to get the adapters made for the landy, that was about 2 years ago now so they may have developed their own by now

That price must include the outright cost of the box.

Not a bad deal really if you are putting together your dream machine, bulletproof motor and tranny, all new and cheaper than a new Hi Lux.

I went low tech with my POS........ C9 LT 95 Ritters conversion behind a 350, that really only cost me the tranny build (850) and a custom torque convertor (480). Uses stock trans mounts and driveshafts.

    cheers, DL

And that is the reason why I went for the 4.6 range rover moter in the end. I just couldnt justify spending that much money on the old girl

Yeah not a problem. I had the 4.6 fitted with a higher torque cam, as mine is a 94 they had to pull the front off of the old engine as it needed the dizzy fitted it to new engine because of the old engine management system. new injectors, filters etc all up it cost about $6K drive in drive out.

The total cost was more than that for me as I had uprated vented discs fitted to the front and the rears replaced as well, and they had problems with condition that the old girl was in.

All up it cost me $10k which some may say was crazy to spend on a 94 disco but it now has probably close to if not more than double the power that it used to have, the fuel consumption it so much better it is not funny, it is reliable and considering all the other improvements I have made to it (and it owes me nothing) 10k was money well spent.

Bee Utey also fitted LPG to it and that has made a further amazing difference to it.

It is now cheaper by about $60-00 plus per week on fuel, stops like a japanese car and is a pleasure to drive. In the coming weeks I will work out just how much the LPG is saving me along with the new engine

I've known Rodney and Stewart for many years, they used to be located next door to one of my mates workshop and another mate of mine used to work there rebuilding of all things their ZF transmissions.

Extremely good at what they do, very honest, Very helpful and extremely inventive is an under statement.

I'm currently thinking about it for our 98 LS Disco and wanted to see what others have done.

That box conversion came about for the comp truck guys.

There are other options you can go with, like no electronics, fully manualised etc which knocks off the ECU and Marks do the tranny adaptor for $1100 so there's over 2k.

They are also good at beefing up the ZF's or just refreshing it if your not going mad with a big power LS.

Still when it's broken down, it's not too bad considering it's a proven and bomb proof set up which can be added too and adapted with **** loads of after market goodies.

The **** that's coming out in the states almost daily for the LS engines is amazing and you would be able to use all of it from having it run redundant cylinders to save on fuel to Corvette supercharger or full on Holley 4bbl injection for up to 1200 CFM LS9's.

It makes it seem like the car it's in is not so important hahaha, as long as it's a Rover haha
