Thread: central locking issue

The central locking in my 97 disco died and would like to replace it with an after market one, does anyone have any recommendations.

There is some info (in projects & tutorials IIRC and probably other places - check the good oil thread for starters.

With your model disco, the central locking is controlled from the actuator in the driver's door.

You can use actuators from Jaycar, from memory you need 5 wire unit for driver's door. Apparently these use more current so advisable to upgrade stock wiring.
