Thread: Fuel Tanks

Given that there are many variations over the years , I think the situation will be.-Yes the tank itself will fit.

BUT AFAIK the 85 had a side entry for the fuel pickup and gauge seeing it was a carby. Have a look on the LH side of the tank and if there is a circular "port" there that is the fuel pickup and gauge.

I believe that the 89 will have a top entry in the middle of the tank where the high pressure pump and gauge go.

So you would need to do considerable mods to the fuel lines and wiring.

You cannot use the injection pump as it is high pressure and your Facet is low pressure. I would think the gauge would work as it is only a reostat but don't know.

The tank will fit but the fuel pump on the EFi is in the tank and not outside and inline like the stanard.
