    Defender AC Fan Speed

Is there any way to in increase the fan speed on the AC in a 300Tdi Defender.

I realise increasing air flow may reduce air temp, but mine blows at 2.C at half thermostat throttle (just checked it), and all my front seat passengers complain about how cold it is. I'd like to increase fan speed to blow MORE cool air around, so that it better gets around the whole cabin.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance, Michael

Me too! According to blknight, it's a PITA to fix.

As per my Defender rust removal thread:

Well, it looks like I'm in for some rust repairs. I've decided to have a crack myself, with the help of my boiler-maker father-in-aw and some advice from MacFamily (thanks Aaron!).

Given I have to remove the air-con, I was wondering whether this would give me an opportunity to try and replace the air-con fan, which is pretty dodgy.

Anyone had any experience with this?

pulling the aircon out is a pain....

2 degrees at the vent is outstanding for aircon you can just turn the temp control down.

I'd really like to push more air further back, more than reduce the temp, so I'm keen to increase fan speed if possible. Is it do-able?

That's what I'm worried about, but it has to be done I reckon to really see what sort of rust problem I have.

Any removal advice for new players?
