DISCO s1 rear brake light problem - help

    hey everyone,
can someone please confirm if the bottom red tailight,
Is in fact a brake light ?
as the top brake lights work, but bottom don't !

currently both bottom lights (left and right) are not working ?
I have checked the fuse, replaced both bulbs, but still no go ?

could it be a possible manufacturing defect, ie the were never properly
    wired ?

They are fog lights. there is a switch to turn them on, on the instrument cluster surrounds, but only work with head lights on

If you use them now in Queensland a recent law change makes them illegal if used when not needed.. (.fine and points). It is the same with front fog lights.

This setup came from a Aust Design Rule in mid 90's and only on the first few years of the D1 update (I think over visibility concerns of pillar mounts with rear mounted spares leading to bar mounts). Quite easy to swap out using early D1 or later D1 lights (just requires some soldering if you reuse existing plug)
