    Transmission adapters site

Have a look at Transmission Adapters

Bendsten's Transmissions in Minnesota. Lots of interesting stuff.

The site also has links to videos of Nev Morris replica raceabout that uses a 702 cubic inch GMC V12. Made on his farm at Dalby. Nev calls it the NOBA, which accurately reflects its componentry.

A ride in this is quite an experience.

Had a look at the site last night, some very interesting adapters and engine/ trans combo's. The merc 5cyl to t700r4 as used in the V6 commodore has some possibilities.

I came across it looking for an adapter to hook a Buick Streight 320 to a five speed ex a Commodore. I don't know what box it is yet. I have not kept up with what went into late model Commodes. Doesn't look like there will be a problem.

I came across the transmission site the same way. I was looking for a source of used Muncies and parts for same. I did not know that they are being manufactured again. Not a bad price for the road race version, US$2675, and only US$1675 for the basic version . I reckon you could easily spend that buying and rebuilding a used one.

Interesting to note the difference between GM option codes between USA and Australia. The Muncie here was an MC7 and an M22 in the USA. An M22 here was an M21 for the One Tonner, low ratio first gear.

The box is up at Dalby. I have not seen it. My mate tells me it is from a 2005 V8. Don't think it is a T5. What else did they use?
