    series 3, 3.5 v8 engine upgrade?

    Hi

Just wondering what would be a good upgrade choice for a series 3 ute with v8 and manual?

Was looking at the 3.9 and auto for sale here from a discovery?

Would something like this be an easy fit?

Im really new to the engine conversions, upgrades etc..

I want an AUTO, and a little more power. Was looking at a ford v8 etc, but i really would rather stay with the rover in a ROVER if you know what i mean.

    Thanks for your help...

If someone could let me know the difference in engine size(physically), mounting etc...

also swap for the manual to auto size mount etc?

    Chad

I've seen a Chrysler V8 in a SIIA. A few modifications had to be made to the chassis to fit it in. It must have been 400cui or more.

I think a better car for your project would be a Schuler Range Rover. Even if you change the body for a Landrover.
The Schuler Range Rover had a 5 litre V8 connected to a chrysler gearbox. 4WD of course. I started a thread on these not long ago as I had found one for sale. A few other people found some in perhaps poorer condition and possibly more reasonably priced.

    Good Luck
