Hi Ben,
Devon 4x4 have done a step by step guide, you can download it here:

I am reassembling an ARB RD03/RD56 (3-piece ARB locker).
Can anyone see a reason why I cannot use socket head cap screws (class 12.9) to replace the small M8 bolts on the non crownwheel side? It looks like they will clear...?
Can someone with an ARB manual give me the torque setting for these bolts?
Cheers,
Ben.

Thanks Tim,
however I am talking about these bolts
which aren't mentioned in any of the install guides, as you normally don't have to touch them.
Most Workshop manuals (Factory) usually have an Appendix with Bolt Torque values by size and grade of bolt, I'm sure I have the info somewhere, but I'm on the way out, I'll have a look tonight when I get back, Regards Frank.
S'pose you could dummy fit the centre and check for clearance, Regards Frank.
I only have ARB installation guides they don't give the torque value for those bolts.
BTW the ARB part numbers for an RD03 are:
200205 for the 6 bolts
150401 for the 6 tab washers
The bolts can be re-used but you need new tab washers.
Thanks John. The official ARB literature says bolts cannot be reused:
www.arb.com.au/resources/pdf/airLockers/5-14.pdf
However the old ones look OK...
Nevertheless, I have found an alternate solution:
