Adjustments for kickdown and throttle cables

    G'day All,

Just got my injector pump tweaked on my 300tdi by a spanner in romsey and can only say that the truck pulls alot harder than before. Recently i have had problems with the Auto which i'm guessing its a governor issue as its sticking in first when cold. Just was wondering with having the injector pump tweaked would that have a effect on the adjustments on the trottle and kickdown cables??

I have gone the way of the rave for the settings but when done it runs very badly and when the truck is hot i get weird gear changes which i think actually slow the rig down mainly from 2nd to 3rd. i have checked to auto fluid and its seem great, no burning smell and its clean with nothing in the oil. So how does one adjust the throttle and kickdown cables, any other ways of adjustments?? i have moved the kickdown cable from no.3 hole (Which is where it should be) to no.4 and no.2 off the throttle body but there really isnt any changes.

    Some pics...

Just changed over my new throttle cable to an old one i had and it seems to go alot harder now and the gears are changing without fail. both throttle cables new/old and the same legth but when i put the old one back on i had to push the throttle linkage a little to attach the cable and it seems to sit around 1000rpm when in idle but has great power when driving. cant seem to work it out as with the new cable it was sitting at the same position and it had no guts and probs with gear changes. any idea's chaps.

is it safe for it to sit at 1000rpm in idle????
