Yes But would have to cut it down I think The 101 runs a unique and expensive CV right?

AFAIK coilers are 61" WMS, 101s are 65" (series are 55").

I think paddocks or craddocks have 101 CVs for cheap prices.

From what little research I've done so far you should be 100% correct on the overall dimensions.
I have actually started making a jig based on a 110 Bang-go front diff (Radius arm reference and camber setting. Also been looking at cutting my spare sals down tonight.
I'm still a bit keen on the F250 but may have to work it all out the hard way I haven't actually found anyone that has done this yet Have had a small search on Pirates and Outer limits. I have missed it, haven't I

So frustraiting this And is from the US of A
    Snip....

I have done personally, or have witnessed just about every iteration of the Rover front end there is to be had. A friend is doing a D60 conversion right now also, so I have some insight into his world too.

FWIW, I would NOT do any modifications to the factory Rover coil axle. IMO, I do not think ANY of the options, D44/297x/CTM's included are worth the effort. Even though I have done the custom UJ axles with modified spindles etc, I think if I were to do it again I will do this (and would suggest those thinking of doing D60/D44's consider the same thing).

After going down the 'modification' trail myself and watching others plan and scheme different US options, there is one axle that has not had any talk AFAIK about it.

Front Salisbury. NOT the front Salisbury off of the 101FC, but the ones being used in Shoreland armored vehicles, the 109 1-ton, Perentie's, etc... They are available complete in the UK for relatively little money considering they are almost a bolt-on (depending on which flavor you got), and can use just about any D60 parts available. Additionally, they would be nice because they use the same track width as the rear Salisbury.

With some 'massaging' by Cooper, you can even run Willwood disks and calipers, solving any braking shortcomings that might be encountered (if you couldn't get one with factory discs that is).

On my 145 project I already had the early 1-ton CV's, so we reinforced that housing and I'm going to run it for now. When/if that axle disintegrates, I plan to have a front Salisbury built and waiting for installation. Probably will install it before the axle grenades, but who knows, that's a while off.

Think about it, consider it, and don't be so quick to jump off of the LR band-wagon. IMO, I think it's one of the best options around.

    Just a thought...

    Michael

This is what the housing looks like. What measurements do you need Tony.

Ben, I have the later CW&P (FTC781) the one with the stud holding the fine splined pinion flange and I dont remember it being reverse cut when I installed it. I wouldn't bet my n..s on it though - I am not 100% positive.

That looks like what I have seen in most Army Rovers. Solid looking beast of a thing. I assume running a rover center it would be same dimensions as what I have now other than the different castings.

    Thanks for the pics

Exactly the same width as a standard 110 housing. As you say a solid beast. With a good quality 4 pinion carrier or truetrac it should be bulletproof...Brian

AFAIK the 3.54 is standard, but the 4.7 is special. Which do you have?
