I definitely want to avoid changing any of it as has to be road legal.
The more standard or HD Rover parts I can retain the better. I do have my concerns about the 24 splines and AEU2522's however.
I used a 105 series rear diff so had that stud pattern on all wheels. I had a bung made that pressed into the rover pitman arm, with taper bore for the cruiser tie rod end.

Another member on Aulro is looking into putting a Nissan H233 front diff into an early rover housing (pre-flat bottom) for a comp vehicle. With 80 series side gears in the ARB the same 30 spline axles and Longfield 30 spline hilux cv's as used with the 8" toy centre conversion might be used - may need spacers at the flanges for the swivel housing if the axles can't be shortened to suit extra width of H233 centre.

A spacer will be required between the H233 diff housing and the rover banjo and space in the banjo will be tight, but may just be possible - it may be necessary to machine a little from the outside of the crown wheel.
