Try Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide for a brand new 4.6.

Dont bother ringing repco about $4500

You can build a real nice motor with bits from the uk for half that

Been quoted about 4500, to rebuild. Also heard about triumph spares.report is that they dont give warranty.Buyer beware
Have sourced a motor in ballarat for approx.2800.Hope to get this down in price then rebuild it.It has 13000kms.
Then maybe rebuild other and onsell to cover some costs.
    Thanks for the info.

It is a good idea to check for yourself. TRS standard warranty on used parts is 30 days, and they may do a distance based warranty on a newly built motor. Give Phil a call and ask before you write them off.

Engine has over heated and the gasket has burnt the head at No:1 (rear Pass) cylinder into the rear water jacket and sucking in water to the head.

Was told can fit jacket to head cleaning that up then place gasket ontop and it will give a better seal and no flame will get to the gasket and burn it away.

Engine coming out this weekend and getting send for Doc's report, will post some
