What transfer pump are people using to transfer diesel between tanks. I am after a good one has my second pump has failed again
Don't know what brand is on mine, but it hasn't missed a beat in the nearly nine years I've had the vehicle.
I'll take a squizz tomorrow.
I have had good experiences with Holley and Facet pumps on competititon vehicles.
cheers
I'm using a pump of an early Rangie. Cheap and plentiful.
I have run a facet on a 300 tdi on vegi oil and diesel, and it worked fine. I run a drill through the pump inline filter so there is less restriction and appears to allow the pump to flow better. I still run the sedimenter and main filter. They are a push type pump so closer to the tank the better. $90.00 last one i bought from super cheap.
closer to which tank though ?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Hi
I need to pump from the 60lt tank under the drivers side seat to the main 80lt tank at the back, witch is slightly higher.
closer to the supply tank and preferabley as low as you can get them...
they dont provide much suction so dont give much lift height but they will "push" a long way.
dont forget to link the breathers of the 2 tanks so that you dont burst the lines/tank/fittings/cap.

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
Also mount them to a hard point, as they rattle like a banshee if not solidly mounted. As previously mentioned they dont like Drawing but can push with nill issues from the end of a wagon to the front so you should have no issues transfering between tanks. Just for info. I used to have an old cruiser with twin tanks, worked out range for non guaged one, ( 300ks) and just switched over by 3 way ball valve. nil electric involved worked ok for me.
