After some advice on D2 TD5 MAFs
12 Months ago I replaced my MAF as my vehicle wasn't running right and wouldn't pull past 2800 RPM all was well for 12 Months.
This week while towing a 2 tonne caravan I had the same issues as last year bought a tin of CRC MAF cleaner and all is well again has anyone else had this happen?
Not sure if I should carry a spare MAF or a tin of cleaner
Thanks in advance
Should be part of your maintenance schedule .... I've been cleaning mine at every oil change, and every other 5k when I clean the a/f, I give the MAF a quick contcat cleaner spray as well.
If your MAF fails, it's not a show stopper, and you'll get home, as the Td5 will revert to default values. If you're away from home on a trip, you could take either/both. Easier I reckon just to clean it regularly as a service item.
