    Thumbs down 300tdi vacuum pump

    Hi just dismantled my vacuum pump and found the seal on the piston has failed .just wondering if there is a replacement part that I could use,the rest of the pump is ok.

    Hi , is there a replacement part available for the vacuum piston (the seal is u/s ) so i can rebuild it for a spare ? thanks.

    thanks slug burner I have looked at this thread butcan only find references to oil leeks,my pump failed due to the lip seal failing. I'm new to this site and still learning my way around and maybe i mist the link or something . thanks

    the links from that post talk about both oil and vacuum leaks.

    The oil is mostlikely going to come from the engine to pump interface. The gasket that gets replaced once the rivets are removed is on the vacuum side of the pump I believe.

    What does the lip seal look like? how do you know that it has failed?


    here is another result from google they even identify the part numbers for you. get down to repco of bursons I am sure they will get wabco parts or equivalents.

    Thanks ,I looked at this page a while ago but could not find it when I wanted it . I dismantled the pump and a part of the seal on the vacuum piston had broken away . the rest of the pump appears to be fine, no scores in the bore and the valves are intact , havn't done a vacuum test on them yet ! thanks again
