what the prob seems to be is the locking ring is striping,, so the locker dont engage, but the pump and solenoid work as normal,

I would ask on the other forums what they are doing about it.

I have a Maxi and used it probably 5 times in hard situations and previous owner fitted it, works 100%.

ARB have a pretty good warranty back up, old diving instructor works there for many years now and he is proud of his quality assurance.

i am dual locked with the new style lockers and have had no problem ,imagine if you listened to what everybody says on forums your life would be turned upside down ,if its working dont worry about it ,if what they say happens to the locker it will not affect your drive you will just have to pick better lines untill you get back to ARB
ARB lockers are a great addition to your rig just enjoy them
    cheers kelvin

    Don't they make them themselves?

I wouldn't worry about it. If it breaks take it back.

Nope, made in Melbourne at ARB Kilsyth as it always has been, it also seems that the majority(not all) of problems are from people that fit themselves at home and usually due to cutting the copper pipe too short or rolling the 'o' rings when fitting them.
