suspension upgrade?
Hi All, I am looking at new coil springs and shocks all round For my 1998 Defender 300tdi wagon I have spoken to a number of Suppliers and I am now more confused over what I need. I will be having a new bull bar and winch at a later date. Some tell me I should put everything on first and some say I can put them on after I fix up the suspension. Can anyone help me in my confused moment? What brand is the best.

Thank you
Regards James

Which ever way you go you need to allow for the extra weight of bull bar & winch over front end. As well as any other extras you intend to fit. Also need to talk to spring manufactures your intended loads and vechile usage. Be realistic.

Fit all the gear, take a photo of it sitting low. Than fit the new springs and things.
Fitting all the heavy stuff first wont make it undriveable. But fitting the new springs that are designed to carry weight with no weight will make it a bitch to drive.
What brand is the best ? You get what you pay for.
