D1 V8 Exhaust Valve part numbers

I've done a quick search on here but can't find anything conclusive (though no doubt someone will prove me wrong very quickly!).

I've come across 5 of the exhaust valves during my D1 V8 engine strip down that appear to be pitted, such that I'm not confident that I'll be able to grind them enough to get a good seal again. However, there feels like there is no play in the guides and the seats look ok. It's almost as if they were replaced in the recent past, but the valves weren't.
I've found evidence that the heads have been off, though it seems that a half-arsed job has been done.

I can see that there has been a progression of part numbers for the exhaust valve, and I just want to make sure that I'm using the right one for the job.

It seems ERR1781 was the original, and used on early 3.9s. Then came ERR7027 for a short while, quickly replaced with ERR7338 that appeared to have the carbon break on it. I believe that this is what I have on my 98 V8, and this is what MicroCat chucked up.
However, when I went to buy a handful of ERR7338s I was offered LGH000040 as an alternative, which a little searching comes up with the description that it belongs in a 4.0 D2, and is "black"!

The spec that I've been given is that it is still a 34mm head, but have no idea on stem size and head angle.

So the question is, can anyone tell me if they a direct swap (or a technical improvement) for the ERR7338? Can I drop them in without a need for new guides/seats? I don't want to get something done that is not needed.

Just as a follow up on this, (though I'm sure that some on here will already know), the LGH000040 did drop in as a direct replacement for the ERR7338 that I had.

I had ordered guides as well just in case, as I had found reference on a UK forum that new guides were needed. But no need. Just looked a little odd in the built up head - four bright silver valves and four black ones

I could find suppliers that said they were for the P38 4.0/4.6 or D2 4.0, but only one that said they would drop into a D1 3.9.

But for 4 quid each, it was worth a shot.
