You will find all heavy truck workshops (ie: Kenworth, Western Star Freightliner etc etc workshops) are able to get it done for you or any Diesel mechanic/workshop for that matter.

Find a work shop that is local to you, go and see them and they should be able to give you a sample container to drain your oil sample into. I get oil tests done on all my trucks once a year.

I Know that you can also get the sample test done at CAT, Cummins or MTU/Detroit in your state. Its not expensive to get done. Just give them a call and Im sure they will steer you in the right direction.

Cat do oil sampling, I can snavle you whats left of a kit from work and it will have the details sheet in it and you can try them.

ALS Wear Check are probably the biggest in the country.

I use a test a little more exxy than e-Monitor as i want TBN, TAN, etc.

One thing I noted when my big ends were going is that it didn't raise a flag at the lab.
They are good at testing, but none of the labs I know of are great at interpreting results.
They have a band they work within and sometimes that can be too wide to raise a flag.
You need a succession of tests with any engine (or engine family) to set a trend, otherwise you are shooting blind, it'll be basically meaningless.

I actually used an analyst in the US to interpret the lab results and he backed up what I thought and basically said hit the panic button, your engine is lunching itself.

If you want I can dig out my tests to show what it looks like as a bearing is going south on a Tdi. (if they aren't on the old computer ??)

SOS do that for you....

providing you give them the right info they will tell you whats coming from where. (admitedly they specialise in cat gear and have all the metalurgy info for cat stuff but the can do others so long as you let them know what metals are ment to be where.)

I used e-Monitor to show LR that my TD5 has faulty injectors over a two year period.

However I did find that I could get the same fuel contaminant levels on two reports with different interpretations. I had to ring a few times to question the results.

I must say their service and willingness to discuss was very good.

At one stage LR agreed to do oil changes at no cost every 5000K’s while they attempted to find the problem after replacing the head once and injector seal twice. The dealer put in a 10w40 oil.. When I questioned this they said it was fine and they “use it all the time”,

On the next oil test it showed the oil was “shearing” and the viscosity had dropped to the extent the oil needed changing.
