Thread: engine speed fault.

    engine speed fault.

    i keep getting this fault
    FAULT 29-05 engine speed input signal intermittent or missing (logged) 254times.
    its always logged in the abs/sls ecu.

    any ideas?

    Mee Too!!!!
    Its one that seems to linger after oil in the harness.
    May be worth checking a few connectors and spraying them with CO2 cleaner.
    I just havent got around to it.

    thanks mate, im still chasing my fuel consumption issue, the new inj harness has taken all the roughness out of the idle but has done nothing to the fuel usage...
    the engine wiring shows no signs of oil at all...
    spose if i replace the engine harness i'll know for sure

    Hi Phil
    Try some of the connectors in behind the glove box to see if the oil got there.
    Not the easiest to get to if you have fat hands like me.The other ECUs are all there.

    I thought it might have been the cas. Replaced that but still getting the error codes

    just found all the connectors...all spotless! also found wet carpet underlay
