I have a problem with my steering column on my Discovery 93 V8 when i pull back and forward on the steering wheel it is moving in and out

The steering wheel boss kit rubs on the shroud and makes a shocking plasticy screech and when its pulled out it doesn't self cancel the indicator

It moves about 3-4cm in and out its like a cir-clip has come lose somewhere

Any suggestion would be appreciated
