Over heating Disco
Hi all. Have a chance to buy a 98 Disco with overheating probs. Has done 260k and head gasket has been done, but still overheating. Owner thinks either bodgy job on the head or is something else.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Buy price 2k, but I already have a money pit. 81RR
Cheers

Could be a few things causing it to overheat,
The radiator may need rodding, viscous hub faulty,
thermostat,
How many times has it been overheated since the gasket(s) were done,
could be trouble
Is it petrol or diesel?

Overheating disco
Sorry I forgot to mention, it's a diesel and it overheats every trip apparently. One thing though, the owner did say he has to keep toping up the radiator, so this could mean a leak other than headgasket, as in my experience with other makes, they do not loose that much water.
What do you think?

yes well the coolant is coming out somewhere, if he has to keep topping it up,
Question is where from & the cost of repairing it
