tdi300 injector pump timing order ???

    Hi all.
I need some help please. My disco won't start.?? I have just fix the truck after the timing belt let go. Replaced 3x rockers and all push rods. Head has been checked and all ok. Put it all back together and fuel leaked from the injector pump after some of old belt raped around pump sharft and stuffed seals. So off goes the pump to the repair shop. Fitted reco pump and can't get it to fire. After reading old posts and talking to 3x machanics and turning the motor by hand we found No1 cyl injector fires 180o out of turn. ??
Removed pump and back to the shop. The guys checked it all again and said it's ok. Injector A output fires at TDC so he said that injector A output gose to No1 cyl. But NO. C output goes to cyl 1? I hope i'm saying all this right.
After all that the question i am asking is the injector pump TDC line up with C output or A output.
    Any help please.

I'm not that up to date on those pumps.
Having said that the injector lines will only line up to the right output.
There is no way you could swap them with out bending the pipes leading to more dramas.
I see you said when the motor is turned it's 180o out.Mmmm
Is it posible that the motor is timed wrong...
Thinking cam on no1 and crank on no1 but pump pully is out.
    Cheers, Kyle

    Hi M&J,

Just to get a more clear picture, was the pump locked at TDC by the 'guys' at the shop? I'm no expert, but it sounds like the crank and cam were 180* out (or one revolution of the crank) when the belt was installed.

Hope someone with more knowledge can come and sort this. Please keep us informed.

    Thanks,
    Daryl.

The pump has been set up incorrectly is my guess. The Bosch diagrams are ambiguous when talking about EDC and non EDC pumps. We have the non EDC pumps in australia and they are different firing order, 180degrees out in fact. There was the same case a while ago here with another member. Try search function.
