    Hi Guys
Are the earths under the drivers seat obvious? Are they like a standard earth lead? i.e. bolted to chassis style? Or somehting more "pretty".
Just want to know what ot look for exactly.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Guys
There is a presence of oil in the RED plug. Very little - l really need air to blow into plug to see how much oil comes out - but l assume plug should be dry and no oil present at all?

I remember this occuring with my 99 TD5 Disco (You'd think Rover would have solved this issue 2006????!!!!)

I'll look up thread related to oil in injector hanrness now!

    Thanks for help.

    Hi All
Gave the RED plug a good clean with contact cleaner last night. Worked a treat. THe Defender is running again.

There is def oil in the BLUE plug under the engine cover - so l assume that means l need to change the injector loom harness. IS that right?

correct, be sure to flush the engine bay side harness as well. theres a handfull of threads on the oil in the harness fault and a couple of them deal with it.

a hand full of part suppliers (all of the ones I use) supply the "modified" replacement injector harness. Once you've seen the replacement you can work out how to do the mod yourself clean out your old harness and then keep it around to ensure murphy shows no further interest in your injector loom.

    Ta.
Just having a read of those threads! My goodness.....

My Defender only done 106,000kms. I will call LRA Monday and speak tih someone about the problem. Considering this happened in 99 to me TD5 Disco - one would hope LR had sorted it by now...
