    My small 10 spline collection is still where I immediately put each piece after pulling them out of a diff housing, leaning against shed wall with one end on concrete.

    No rust yet, but with 10 splines that is the least of anyone's probs.

    And quite a few other parts of Oz where misfits, survivalists, and self-sufficienters go to find cheap real estate & near non-existent employment opportunities to "retire" on unemployment payments. Cheap acreage subdivisions on rubbish land hived off by farmers are usually infested with them.
