Photos of the mighty Thor manifold by Tombie2
Tombie2. Thanks mate for the photos. A big help.
(see setting up a D2 manifold on a D1 engine)
A couple of questions though.
Photo 3. The stepper motor. That doesn't look like the old D1 type? And the second vacuum hose that drops out of the picture, where does that go too?
The picture of the cable hook ups. The second cable looks to me to be another D1 accelerator cable, obviously modified to hook up the auto and a back to front cable wheel on the throttle body, am I right? (I got one of those cable wheels, pinched it off one of my sons many Toyo turbo six engines)
The next observation. That pressure thingo hanging off the fire wall, it looks like a fuel pressure regulator. Not the one off the D1 fuel system. Have you converted over to the D2 system, using a high pressure pump?.
Last of all your thrermostat and top rad hose hook up. Did you do what PhilipA did as described in his thread and machine out the hole in the manifold to take the D1 thremo and cover?
Cheers

Seeing Tombie has gone missing maybe I can give you a couple of what I think are correct answers.
The IAC is the Motronic IAC. if you run 14CUX you have to use the 14CUX stepper AFAIR.
The second cable will be the cruise control. The kick down cannot work in this way AFAIK as the throttle has to PULL the kickdown. Maybe Tombie has a manual or a magic way I don't know about.
I guess I should take some photos of mine.
The pressure thingo looks like a Malpassi regulator. As I said the original rail will only work if it is a RRC rail as AFAIR both the regulator and the fuel temp sensor of a Disco rail foul the plenum.
Tombie has obviously adapted the D1 thermostat housing as I have.
Regards Philip A
