    Lt 230 cover plate

    How do you remove the lower cover plate on Lt 230 that has be siliconed in place have tried a blade but can't get the blade between the cover and the transfer case and dont want to wreck the surfaces

    maybe try a block of wood and a hammer, to shift it slightly to break the seal, the wood wont harm the aluminium casing

    I used a small screwdriver to pry it loose. No damage, if you do damage it, just dress up with a file, all metal particals will fall down anyway but it is highly unlikely you will damage this if you are careful.

    A few sharp taps sideways with a hammer +/- block of wood. They do love to leak so I avoid gouging the surface.
