how to - radiator out ?

does anyone know if there is a way to remove the radiator on my 2003 disco TD5 without removing the cooler in front of it ? The cooler seems to sit in mountings on the rad but I have not got enough free play to get the rad out, Im pretty sure I have all the fixings out, have the fan off etc..

If you take the fan off and there is plenty of room to take the radiator out or to lean it back and remove the intercooler. The intercooler brackets are removed from behind the grill.

You should be able to leave the cooler bolted to the radiator & lift them out as a unit, but theres a lot of brackets to remove.

    where in perth are you?.

Thinking more on this and it's all from memory ... when I replaced the intercooler in my 03MY D2 I had to take the horns off and from memory the headlight pods to get to brackets on the radiator and the intercooler. I think the horns covered the intercooler brackets, but I have a sneaky suspicion that some where behind all of that on at least one side was a radiator bracket. Pretty sure it was all covered in RAVE CD.

When we did Stuuu's D2 we didn't need to take the headlights out. I'm pretty sure I had to on at least the driver's side on my 03MY. Not that it is to hard as they are pod units and it is just 3 screws.
