    Tdi Head Bolt Torque?

What should be the torque setting for teh M12 100m headbolts on a 300Tdi?

The manual says 40nm plus 60 degrees

One of the workshops I spoke to says 4onm plus 60 degrees plus another 60 degrees?

I BELIEVE OUR MANUAL SAID 30 LBFT PLUS 60 DEGREES. whoops sorry. So, not sure how lb.ft compared to nm. Apparently the 60 degrees makes it rather tight.
My father put the head on his 300 tdi last night and was suprised how much effort it was compared to the V8 engine he would have done 2 weeks ago.

The OH manual says 40Nm plus 60* initial angle plus a further 60* on all bolts plus a further 20* on the 140mm long ones in the sequence shown in the manual
